I stood there with her favorite pink roses in hand and longed to whisper in her ear that I would be getting married in just a few short days and these roses would be displayed at the wedding with great joy. I wanted to tell her that through my years of pain and tears I had experienced Jesus and His healing because I had two parents who taught me to keep my eyes focused on Him. I wish she would know that Jesus Himself had tenderly mended my heart and cultivated beauty where there once was ashes and desolation, and after all the tending He then sent me one of the greatest treasures of my lifetime, and I know she would love him too.
