Living Before His Face week 4 day 3

Living Before Your Face. Psalm 52

The years spent in the Adullam Cave, were years of faithfulness, declarations, heartbreak, loneliness, and pain for David. And not one minute of those years were wasted.

The Cave of Adullam is where God cultivated David’s heart, and where David blindly trusted God’s promises and provision before he could even perceive an answer to the anointed promise he had been given.

In Psalm 42 & 152, David is raw. He holds nothing back. He describes his emotions and communicates exactly how he “feels” to God.

If you look at a modern day map of Israel, (go to Google Earth-it’s so awesome!), the Adullam Cave is in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by absolutely nothing. In the years when David spent his life on the run, he was stripped of every comfort, and surrounded by men who were dependent on him. And David expresses his loneliness and sorrow to God.

But it’s deep within the cave, in the middle of nowhere, where David cultivated his faith and trust in God alone. Those years were not wasted. Those years were the foundation of David’s reliance and dependence on Yahweh.
The beauty of our Cave Dwelling experiences in life, where we can be gut wrenchingly honest before our Maker, is all about one thing. And that one thing is about LIVING before the face of God. His presence allows to LIVE abundantly when we are in the middle of nowhere, stripped of every comfort, and we can’t even see how God is going to answer His promises.

In our cave dwelling, we are all anointed, God’s promises will be fulfilled, and not a minute of His cultivation will be unused.

Bottom Line: we must Live in the Presence of Yahweh.

“So I say to my soul, “Don’t be discouraged. Don’t be disturbed. For I know my God will break through for me.” Then I’ll have plenty of reasons to praise him all over again. Yes, living before his face is my saving grace!”

Studying God's word and teaching for transformation are two of my favorite things. And there is no place better to study than with my sistas! I am most grateful for my salvation, and relationship with Jesus, for the incredible Godly man I have covenanted with, and the four beautiful daughters we get to raise together.
