Trusting when you just can’t see

The very moment I call to you for a father’s help the tide of battle turns and my enemies flee.  This one thing I know: God is on my side!I trust in the Lord. And I praise him!  I trust in the Word of God. And I praise him!  Psalm 56:9-10

I needed this verse today.  I’ve had my eyes on circumstances that appear totally chaotic, unfair, and just plain frustrating to my fleshly eyes.  I’ve really been tempted to just give in to my own understanding instead of acknowledging and turning my entire heart to trust my God who sees and knows my future and has amazing plans to use every single circumstance for His good and His glory.

Do I really believe the words that God works ALL things for good according to His plan and His purposes?  Do I really trust in His Word when with all earthly appearances the enemy looks like he’s ahead?  Do I really trust and the entirety of my heart into my unfailing, all-loving, all-knowing, has His best for me, God of the entire universe who is also my very best friend?

My Prayer:

And I say Yes!  I do.  I choose truth, I choose Jesus, and I choose to stop looking at circumstances and start praising God in the midst of the chaos.  He is the one who turns the tide of the battle the enemy has waged against His beloved.  So today, this very moment, I call to you Father, and I trust in you Father, and I praise you Father standing on your word and your promises that you have spoken directly to me for a future filled with hope and beauty and a double portion of your goodness.

You are worthy of all praise and honor and I lay down what my earthly eyes see at the foot of your cross, and surrender my vision for yours.  I trust you Jesus with all of my heart.

Trust in the Lord completely,
and do not rely on your own opinions.
With all your heart rely on him to guide you,
and he will lead you in every decision you make.   Psalm 3:5-6

Studying God's word and teaching for transformation are two of my favorite things. And there is no place better to study than with my sistas! I am most grateful for my salvation, and relationship with Jesus, for the incredible Godly man I have covenanted with, and the four beautiful daughters we get to raise together.
